You Are More Than Your To-Do List

Some days it can feel like our entire identity is wrapped up in everything we need to accomplish.

Did I get enough done?

Did I finish my list?

Did I respond to everyone?

Did I take care of everything?

But what if your value has nothing to do with how many boxes you check today?

You are more than your productivity.

You are more than your job.

You are more than your role as a mom, wife, daughter, friend, caregiver, or anything else you carry.

You are a person who deserves time to breathe, dream, laugh, rest, create, and simply be.

There will always be another load of laundry.

Another email.

Another appointment.

Another task waiting for you.

But you only get this moment once.

So don't let your to-do list become louder than the truth of who you are.

You are loved.

You are valuable.

You are worthy of care.

And you don't have to accomplish something extraordinary today to have an extraordinary purpose.

Maybe today, instead of asking “What do I need to get done?”, ask yourself:

“What do I need today?”

Maybe the answer is rest.

Maybe it's encouragement.

Maybe it's connection.

Maybe it's five quiet minutes with your journal.

Listen to that answer.

“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” — Psalm 139:14

Pause & Reflect

If you could give yourself one thing today—not something to accomplish, but something you need—what would it be?

A little reminder to carry with you:
My worth isn't found in what I accomplish. I am valuable simply because I am me.
