Give Yourself Permission to Pause
When was the last time you truly paused?
Not scrolling while drinking your coffee.
Not answering emails while eating lunch.
Not thinking about what needs to happen next.
Just paused.
Sometimes we become so accustomed to being busy that slowing down can actually feel uncomfortable.
But you were never meant to run at full speed every moment of every day.
There is something beautiful about creating a little space in your day.
Make your coffee and actually enjoy it.
Sit outside for a few minutes.
Open your journal and write what is on your heart.
Take a walk.
Listen to worship music.
Pray.
Take a deep breath and simply be present in the moment you're living right now.
A pause doesn't mean you're falling behind.
Sometimes a pause is exactly what we need to remember where we're going and why we're going there.
So today, give yourself permission to pause.
You don't need a reason.
You don't need to earn it.
You simply need to recognize that you are worth the pause.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28
Pause & Reflect
Where could you create five quiet minutes for yourself today?
A little reminder to carry with you:
I am allowed to pause. Rest is not something I have to earn.
